At first glance, this two-story structure at 379 Kamehameha Highway, Suite B, appears to be just another typical business location, where the daily grind of paperwork and phone calls fills the air. However, those who have spent time within its walls know that something far more unsettling lies beneath the surface.

Unseen Presences at the Pacific Isle Mortgage

For years, employees working in this building have reported strange and eerie occurrences that defy explanation. It all began innocuously enough—lights flickering, a door inexplicably swinging shut on its own—but the activity soon escalated, leaving those who work here in a constant state of unease.

One of the most unnerving experiences happened to a woman who was working late one evening. As she sat at her desk, diligently reviewing documents, she felt a strange sensation. At first, it was just a light touch, as if a gentle breeze had brushed past her. But then, she distinctly felt someone playing with her hair, gently tugging at the strands as though a playful child were standing behind her. Heart pounding, she spun around in her chair, only to find the room empty, her hair swaying slightly from the invisible touch.

Echoes of Laughter

The building’s spectral inhabitants are not always so subtle. On more than one occasion, the faint sound of children laughing has echoed through the hallways, a chilling contrast to the otherwise quiet and professional atmosphere. Workers have reported hearing the patter of small footsteps running down the corridors, accompanied by gleeful giggles, yet no children are ever seen. These phantom children seem to delight in playing unseen games, their presence felt but never fully understood.

In one particularly unsettling incident, an employee arrived early to work, only to hear the unmistakable sound of children’s laughter emanating from the second floor. Convinced that she was the first to arrive, she cautiously ascended the stairs, her heart racing with each step. But when she reached the top, the laughter abruptly stopped, leaving behind an eerie silence. The office was as it should be—empty and still, save for the lingering sense that she was not alone.

A Building with a Past?

What could be the source of these paranormal disturbances? Some speculate that the building may have been constructed on land with a history, perhaps the site of a forgotten tragedy or a place where spirits were left restless. There really isn’t much to go on regarding the building’s history. The place itself was built in 1970.

Could it be that where the Pacific Isle Mortgage now stands, used to be a sacred heiau from ancient times? Others believe that the spirits may be tied to the objects or people that have passed through the office over the years, their energies lingering long after they have moved on.

Despite the unnerving experiences, the employees of Pacific Isle Mortgage continue their work, albeit with a heightened awareness of the building’s haunted nature. The playful, and sometimes mischievous, spirits have become an unsettling part of the office’s daily life—a reminder that even in the most mundane places, the supernatural may be closer than we think.

So, the next time you pass by 379 Kamehameha Highway, take a moment to consider the unseen occupants who share this space with the living. Perhaps, if you listen closely, you might even hear the distant echoes of laughter, a reminder that the spirits at Pacific Isle Mortgage are always near, watching and waiting.

The Ghosts of The Haunted Atlas Building

Residents who lived on this property before the building’s construction recount stories of a tormented spirit haunting the area—a spirit that seemingly refused to be displaced by the encroachment of urban development. But what exactly is haunting this place?

As mentioned, most legends about the haunted building talk about the ghost of a woman wandering the halls, often said to be weeping as she is grieving about something she has never gotten over.

The Haunted Karaoke Room 2

One of the most unsettling locations within the building before it was known as the Atlas Building was a room known as Karaoke Room 2, a spot for locals seeking an evening of singing and revelry. When this was unsure, was it when the building was used as a residential building? Or after it was used as an office building as it is today. It is also worth noting we have found proof of an actual Karaoke Bar that has existed on either of the addresses.

With that being said, the room patrons often reported an inexplicable sense of unease, particularly in the women’s restroom were the numerous accounts of a ghostly apparition in the bathroom mirror. Stories of cold drafts, flickering lights, and an oppressive feeling of being watched became common among visitors.

Although Karaoke Room 2 has since moved out of the building, the stories persist, and the legacy of the ghostly sightings continues to haunt those who work and visit 1150 South King Street, or perhaps it is 201 Merchant Street.

Even now, employees in the building occasionally whisper about unexplained phenomena—doors that open on their own, disembodied voices echoing in the corridors, and shadows flitting at the edge of their vision.

On the streets of Salt Lake City, a satellite city and IT hub in Kolkata lies an office building shrouded in whispers and eerie tales—the Wipro Office Building. Legend has it that Salt Lake City, or Bidhannagar (বিধাননগর), as it is officially known, was constructed upon a wetland—a land steeped in ancient mystique and rumored to be an ancient burial ground.

Before the IT Boom the city is known as now, the area Salt Lake City is built upon, used to be a jungle, and according to local lore, a place of murders and crimes took place in the dark. One speculation is that the reported haunting that is said to go on in the building comes from this.

Wipro Limited is an Indian multinational corporation that provides information technology, consultant and business process services. It is one of the leading Big Tech companies within cloud computing, computer security, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, robotics, data analytics, and other technology consulting services to customers in 167 countries with many hundreds of thousands of employees.

The Haunted Wipro Office Building

As dusk descends upon the cityscape and the hum of activity fades into the stillness of the night, strange figures are said to emerge from the shadows, haunting the corridors and cubicles of the Wipro Office Building. It is especially said that the 3rd floor of the building is the most haunted floor.

Employees working the midnight shift speak in hushed tones of eerie encounters and inexplicable phenomena that defy rational explanation. Many recount tales of encountering spectral apparitions and unsettling presences lurking in the dimly lit hallways.

But it is not just the apparitions that instill fear in the hearts of those who frequent the Wipro Office Building. Employees working late into the night speak of an overwhelming sense of dread that washes over them as they navigate the labyrinthine corridors, afraid to venture too far from the safety of their desks.

According to the stories, the employees working at night are sometimes even afraid to go to the washrooms or use the lifts alone, in case they experience something more paranormal or at least, unexplained.

Details about the haunting going on in the building is sparse, and not easily verified. Much of the stories come from people claiming to know someone working there. A video that was being passed around claimed to have gotten the haunting on tape. Have a look for yourself. Is this truly a haunting and not a hoax going on, is it even inside of the Wipro Office Building?
